Table Tennis: Ulster braced for Spanish showdown

Ulster face a strong team from Catalunya, Spain in a pre-season table tennis challenge tomorrow at 7pm at the Valley Leisure Centre.

Leading Ulster star Paul McCreery has withdrawn due to a heavy league commitment with his French club Montpellier but new Ulster coach Andy Dennison has drafted in Commonwealth medal hopeful Na Liu to join Peter Graham (Glenburn), and Keith Knox (UU), with Irish top four player Daryl Strong not available.

Meanwhile, the Ulster trio of Amanda Mogey, recent winner of the Irish Classification event, Claire Nelson and Ashley Givan are in action at the European Women's Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
