By Ali Gordon

Table Tennis Ulster have launched a new partnership with Power NI to create an exciting three-day table tennis festival.

The Power NI Ulster Open is set to take place from November 28-30 at Lisburn Racquets Centre and will host both Junior and Senior competitions. Ulster's High Performance Coach John Murphy and Commonwealth athlete Ashley Givan are both hoping to defend their Men's and Women's Singles titles in the Seniors while Irish international junior players Owen Cathcart and Rebecca Finn are in action in the Juniors.

President of Table Tennis Ulster, Tony Phillips MBE, said: "The support of Power NI has enabled Table Tennis Ulster to raise the profile of the tournament with many high performance athletes looking to enter.

"It'll be an exciting three days which will showcase the sport and inspire younger hopefuls to go to their local club and have a try."

Power NI's Aine Bloomer added: "It's important that local communities are at the heart of our sponsorship and audiences and participants can enjoy the benefits we can bring via our partnership with Ulster Table Tennis."
