Accepted adds another win

Accepted (left) wins at Tipperary

Accepted maintained his unbeaten record with a gutsy success in the Listed Excelebration Tipperary Stakes.

As had happened in previous races at Tipperary, the field headed straight to the stands' rail, leaving Billy Lee on the 5/4 favourite closest to the middle of the track.

That did not stop him, though, and even as Simply A Star made a renewed effort in the closing stages, Accepted was always in control and struck by half a length to supplement his Curragh debut win.

Stack said: "He had to race on the worst of the ground the whole way today and did well to win.

"We didn't want to make the running at the Curragh (when winning on debut) as he's a big, raw horse but he does have loads of pace.

"We'll aim him at the Gimcrack Stakes next."
