Article set for Leopardstown

Edward O'Grady is targeting The Real Article at the Istabraq Festival Hurdle at Leopardstown on December 29.

The Grade One highlight was won by Hurricane Fly last season and could be the starting point for him this season, but O'Grady is keen on running his six-year-old, who was third in the Hatton's Grace on his last start.

"I was thrilled with the horse but disappointed with the result. A little bit better jump at the last might have made a difference," O'Grady told At The Races.

"He was a bit compromised by the ground on the day, but he came out of it well and I'm looking forward to running him at Christmas. Unless something happens in the meantime, he'll run in the Festival Hurdle.

"If he's any better over fences then we have a proper one and Barry Geraghty said he jumps hurdles like a horse who needs a fence, but we'll concentrate on hurdles for the moment."
