Bolger can Lead the way again

Mark Bolger belatedly got off the mark for 2014 aboard Orgilgo Bay at Downpatrick a week ago and he could enjoy some more Monday joy on She's A Leader at Ballinrobe this evening.

Bolger is a technically skilled and composed rider who frequently shows the extent of his capabilities when opportunity arises for the likes of Orgilgo Bay's trainer John McConnell and Jessica Harrington, yet he remains inexplicably under-utilised.

He has just one booked mount in the three jumps races at the western venue tonight, but is tipped to make the most of it.

The Robert Honner-trained She's A Leader tackles the Mares' Maiden Hurdle.

It is a poor quality affair in which the eight runners have recorded just one point-to-point and one bumper win between them from an aggregate 82 runs, so it won't take too much winning.

Honner's seven-year-old should be up to the task. She was placed twice on good ground in bumpers last summer, and has improved with each of her three hurdle starts to date, latterly chasing home Time For A Pint at Fairyhouse in May.
