Marco Botti is considering a trip to the Curragh with Planteur.
The French recruit made an excellent start for new connections when beaten only three and a half lengths into third behind Monterosso in the Dubai World Cup, and a run at Longchamp is also being considered.
"With Planteur we are leaning towards the Prix d'Ispahan. He's still in the Tattersalls Gold Cup in Ireland but they are over the same weekend so it will be one or the other," said Botti.
"We'll monitor the ground and where we think it will suit him best is where he will run. He's very well, he's in very good form and the d'Ispahan is his likely target."
Botti also went close on World Cup night with Joshua Tree, who finished second to Opinion Poll in the Dubai Gold Cup and could have the Ascot equivalent as his next aim.
The trainer said: "We've entered Joshua Tree in the Gold Cup but we'll consider a few other options. Obviously he would need a prep race before Ascot if that is the way we decide to go with him."
