Carla primed for Munster test

Carla Bianca attempts to banish a disappointing reappearance to the memory when she goes to post for the Munster Oaks Stakes at Cork on Sunday.

The daughter of Dansili was most progressive in 2014, winning two Listed prizes and a Group Three, but was fourth of five when odds-on for her comeback in the Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes at Gowran Park in April.

The winner that day was none other than Legatissimo, who went on to land the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket before finishing second in the Oaks.

Carla Bianca's trainer Dermot Weld said: "She's very well and will run a big race.

"She was trying to give 20lb to the Guineas winner and the Oaks second first time out so the form is strong."
