Chance leads rivals a merry dance

Chance To Dance produced an excellent weight-carrying performance to land the valuable Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Nasrullah' Handicap at Leopardstown.

Settled towards the rear by Kevin Manning, the top weight made stealthy headway before striking the front at the furlong pole.

Jim Bolger's 5/1 chance came clear, and though Magnolia Beach sneaked up the inner to mount a serious challenge in the closing stages, Chance To Dance was too strong, scoring by half a length.

Bolger said: "There's a little race at Naas on Wednesday for him (Michael Higgins And Co. Race), then I'll apologise to him and give him a break.

"He will be okay as he has been turned out quickly before and we can't pass up an opportunity.

"We will school him for the Champion Hurdle after that! I think he could be the real deal over jumps.

"He goes on any ground and six furlongs to a mile and a half is all the same to him. All my horses jump and he'll be no different."
