Chrysanthemum in a hurry

Chrysanthemum wins at the Curragh in April

David Wachman's Chrysanthemum aims to give weight and a beating to eight rivals in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Hurry Harriet Stakes at Gowran Park.

Having shown smart form as a juvenile and in her three starts last season, the filly got her four-year-old campaign off to an excellent start with back-to-back victories in Group Three and Listed company at the Curragh.

She suffered an odds-on reverse over this course and distance on her latest appearance, but that was in May and she may well have benefited from a summer break after a busy start to the season.

Aidan O'Brien has three challengers in Devotion, Twirl and Soon.

Devotion takes a sizeable drop in grade having finished fifth behind Great Heavens in the Irish Oaks last month, while Twirl was last of seven in the mile and a half Classic.

Soon was last seen finishing down the field in a Curragh Group Three.

John Oxx has an interesting contender in Shebella, with Jim Bolger's Alla Speranza, Aaraas, Balladiene and Reina De Luz completing the field.
