Dazzling display can make it a speedy Newmarket double for Rose

By Anita Chambers

Dazzling Rose can complete a quickfire Newmarket double by landing the Tamdown EBF Stallions Fillies' Handicap tomorrow.

John Gosden's charge opened her account on the July Course three weeks ago, building on her narrow debut second at Lingfield back in February to lift a modest event with the minimum of fuss.

The Raven's Pass filly made light work of what had been a lengthy absence, grabbing the initiative on the far rail in a mile heat and finishing well clear of her rivals on that side.

Dazzling Rose was hardly all-out to win on that occasion and while the handicapper has not exactly been light on her with a starting mark of 88, it nevertheless looks a workable rating and a recent Listed entry suggests connections feel there is a bit more to come.
