Elliott targets Troytown

Gordon Elliott has a six-strong entry in the Ladbrokes Troytown Handicap Chase at Navan on November 23.

Elliott's Cause Of Causes is, alongside Willie Mullins' Djakadam, joint-top weight after 44 entries were received.

The County Meath trainer has also put in Chicago Grey, Bless the Wings, Plan A, Vasco Du Mee and Tuesday's Sedgefield winner Balbriggan.

Mullins has five entries made up by The Paparrazi Kid, Dogora, Abbey Lane and Rough Justice.

Noel Meade is six-handed with Pandorama, Silver Tassie, Ipsos Du Berlais, Benemeade, Bose Ikard and Thomond.

One British-based possible is Knock A Hand, trained by Richard Lee in Herefordshire.

Navan racecourse manager Peter Killeen said: "The entries for the Ladbrokes Ireland Troytown Chase are terrific with all the top trainers represented and we anticipate a top-class field competing on the 23rd."
