Fairyhouse Right for Job

Michael Hourigan is targeting the Irish Grand National with The Job Is Right following a fine effort in defeat at the Cheltenham Festival.

The seven-year-old would have been a clear second to subsequent Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up Djakadam in the Thyestes Chase at Gowran Park in January but for unseating his jockey at the final fence and he went on to run creditably in the Boyne Hurdle at Navan.

With Derek O'Connor in the saddle, The Job Is Right ran an excellent race to finish third in the National Hunt Chase at Prestbury Park and is now bound for Fairyhouse on Easter Monday.

Hourigan said: "He ran very well in Cheltenham and has come back well since.

"That (Irish Grand National) is the plan. We've another 10 days or so to get through yet, but hopefully that's where he's going."
