Harrington keeps Saludos faith

Jessica Harrington believes there will be other days for Saludos after his final-fence fall in the Bord na Mona With Nature Novice Chase at Leopardstown.

The Navan winner was still leading in Thursday's Grade One before he crashed out, leaving Realt Dubh to come home in front, with Mikael D'Haguenet only fifth. This was a disappointment for Harrington and jockey Robbie Power after Bostons Angel took Tuesday's Grade One Fort Leney Novice Chase.

"We were brought back to reality with a bang when Saludos came crashing down at the last when going really well," the trainer told her website,

"We will never know if he would have won but Robert said he wasn't tired and still had plenty in the tank.

"He just clipped the top and didn't give himself a chance. He is perfect, thankfully, and Robert was sore but in one bit and a bit frustrated."
