Here Comes massive opportunity

By Chris Wilson

Here Comes When looks to have everything in his favour for the Betfred Hungerford Stakes at Newbury.

A host of high-profile non-runners has diluted what looked to be a really hot renewal - but that will not bother trainer Andrew Balding one jot.

The Kingsclere handler had been desperate to see rain for his classy five-year-old, who is dropping in class after tackling French superstar Solow in the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

Far from disgraced in that Group One contest, this is more his level and Balding's prayers on the ground front have certainly been answered.

With Gospel Choir out of the Betfred Geoffrey Freer Stakes, the way is clear for Romsdal to return to winning ways.

Last year's Derby third and Leger runner-up ran a cracker last time out when plugging on from the front to take third in the King George at Ascot.
