International Awaits The Dawn

Aidan O'Brien and Sir Henry Cecil dominate the entries for the Juddmonte International at York on Wednesday after 10 confirmations were received.

O'Brien saddled Rip Van Winkle to success in the mile-and-a-quarter Group One 12 months ago, and this year's team is headed by Await The Dawn, a hugely impressive winner of the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Ballydoyle could also be represented by Windsor Palace, Roderic O'Connor and Misty For Me.

Cecil indicated yesterday that his multiple Group One-winning mare Midday would join last year's runner-up Twice Over in the race, as owner and Juddmonte Farms supremo Khalid Abdullah bids to win the race he sponsors for the first time.

Ed Dunlop has left in his stable star Snow Fairy, although she has the option of running in Thursday's Yorkshire Oaks instead.

Godolphin's Rio De La Plata, potential French challenger Cirrus Des Aigles and the Jo Hughes-trained Zafisio complete the possibles.
