Willie Mullins was in the winner's enclosure at Royal Ascot during the week and the master handler recorded another victory on the Flat with Laviniad in the www.gowranpark.ie Handicap on Sunday.

The five-year-old mare has made great strides forward this year and was sent off 9-4 favourite for the afternoon's feature having narrowly missed out on a double at Listowel on her latest outing.

Pat Smullen had his mount well positioned behind leader Hes Our Music turning for home and although Pat Flynn's charge didn't go down without a fight, the winner asserted close home for a two-and-a-half-length victory.

Smullen said: "I blame myself for the last day but in fairness she was labouring on the heavy ground and she was never travelling.

"Ideally a mile is her trip but would get another furlong.

"In fairness to her she is very consistent and runs to her mark every day."

Air Vice Marshal opened his account in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Maiden with the ease his odds of 1-4 suggested he would.

Having kept on for third on his debut at the Curragh, the Aidan O'Brien-trained favourite relished the step up to seven furlongs and proved much too strong for pace-setter Hoppala in the closing stages.

The War Front colt took it up a furlong from home and pulled two and a half lengths clear in good style.

Lat Hawill ground out a determined success in the Follow Gowran Park On Facebook Race.

With Royal Navy Ship a non-runner, Ger Lyons' four-year-old was the evens favourite to defeat his two rivals and showed a good attitude to fend off the challenge of Clonard Street by three-quarters of a length after hitting the front a furlong out.

Gussy Goose (3-1) improved on her Limerick second to land the Gowran Park Racing Club Membership From 100 Maiden.

Enough Is Enough blazed a trail early doors but was swamped Frozen Lake and David Wachman's filly over a furlong out and the latter pulled three lengths clear in taking fashion.

Wachman completed a quick-fire double when Wardell powered home to justify 2-1 favouritism in the BBQ Evening August 12th At Gowran Park Handicap with two and a quarter lengths to spare from The Fairy.

Social Climber (2-1) gave in-form jockey Chris Hayes another winner when getting up late to deny Brown Bee by two and a quarter lengths in the Live Music Sunday Sept 20th Handicap, while Snap Click (9-2fav) recorded a length-and-a-quarter verdict over Dixie Highway in the Gowran Park Golf Club Societies Welcome Handicap.
