The winners' enclosure is familiar to Caledon-based trainer Andy Oliver, however, Above The Law supplied Armagh lass Christina Simpson with her first ever winner at Navan yesterday.

The 20-year-old from Tyan, Armagh was having her 11th career ride and Above The Law – a 16/1 chance equipped with blinkers for the first time – duly made all the running to score easily. Simpson has been based with the County Tyrone trainer for four years.

The Ulster trainer's team has been in good form with Abby Cadabby winning twice within a week at Clonmel and Wexford.

Oliver said "It's great – he's been a good servant. He likes that sort of ground. We added the blinkers as he was getting clever and the claim [10lb] was a big help.

"It's all about Christina – I'm delighted for her. She's a great girl."
