Leopardstown given thumbs-up

This afternoon's meeting at Leopardstown, featuring the Lexus Chase, has been given the go-ahead.

Although any remaining snow on the track had already been cleared, there was a threat of waterlogging, but there was no significant overnight rainfall, which gave course officials much heart upon inspecting the Dublin circuit at 7.30am.

Irish Turf Club press officer, Cliff Noone, said: "There was no great amount of rain overnight - certainly not a deluge - and the ground soft to heavy."
