Load set for Kempton trip

Henry de Bromhead is looking forward to stepping Loosen My Load up to three miles in the williamhill.com Feltham Novices' Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day.

The County Waterford trainer thought the six-year-old was done for speed when third to Ghizao in a two-mile novice chase at Cheltenham a month ago and feels now is the right time to see if stamina is Loosen My Load's forte.

"He's in good form, he's entered in the Feltham so we might run him in that. He'll go there if everything stays right between now and then," De Bromhead said.

"I hope the trip will suit him. It was good to see how he got on over the course and distance of the Arkle at Cheltenham. It looked like he was tapped for toe so we can put that (the Arkle) out of our minds, step him up in trip now and see.

"He won a beginners' (chase) over two and a half miles, he loves a bit of good ground and they usually get that at Kempton. We will take our chance and see how we get on."
