Paddy Power believe Hurricane Fly is a good thing in the BHP Insurance Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown on January 23, installing him as the 4-7 favourite.

Willie Mullins' charge appears finally free of injury and has oozed class recently in the winning the Hatton's Grace Hurdle and the iPhone App Festival Hurdle at Leopardstown.

His old rival Solwhit is next in the list but has struggled in their two meetings so far this season.

Cork winner Sublimity was been given a quote of 16-1.

"The way that Hurricane Fly won our race without even being extended leads me to believe that he is undoubtedly the best two mile hurdler in Ireland," said Power.

"The Irish Champion is still around three weeks away but I feel that only a setback in his training programme can prevent him from winning this race."

BHP Insurance Irish Champion Hurdle - Paddy Power bet: 4-7 Hurricane Fly, 3-1 Solwhit, 11-2 Dunguib, 14-1 Voler La Vedette, 16-1 Blackstairmountain, Sublimity, 20 Luska Lad, 25-1 bar.
