Noble Prince is being prepared for a spring campaign after being sidelined through injury since the end of October.
Winner of the Jewson Novices' Chase at Cheltenham in March 2011, the nine-year-old will be seen back over smaller obstacles for the first time since he was fourth to Quevega in the Ladbrokes.com World Series Hurdle at Punchestown in April 2010.
The Coral Cup at next month's Cheltenham Festival is the first big target for the Paul Nolan-trained nine-year-old following a return to action in the Red Mills Trial Hurdle at Gowran Park on Saturday week.
"He had a split hoof after Aintree and has been laid up ever since, but the heavy ground we've had in the meantime would have been against him," said Nolan.
"It's healed up and he'll go for the Red Mills and then the Coral Cup.
"There are lots of races he can go for later in the spring as well."
