Qemah on course for Matron date
Qemah remains on course for the Coolmore Fastnet Rock Matron Stakes at Leopardstown next month.
The three-year-old filly supplemented her Coronation Stakes success at Royal Ascot with victory in the Prix Rothschild at Deauville last time out.
Harry Herbert, racing manager for owner Al Shaqab Racing, reports a Group One hat-trick to be the next target on September 10 for Jean-Claude Rouget's star.
He said: "The Matron is still the plan.
"She's in good form and Ireland is very much the plan. I saw Jean-Claude last week and he was very pleased with her."
A trip to Belmont Park in America is likely to be next on the agenda for Al Jazi.
The three-year-old landed a Group Three at Goodwood in fine style on her most recent outing, stepping up markedly on her French form for trainer Francois Rohaut.
The Grade Two Sands Point Stakes at Belmont on September 17 could now be the next port of call.
Herbert said: "She may well go to Belmont Park for a race over nine furlongs in September and we will see how she goes there."
