Voler camp expecting bold bid

Colm Murphy feels Voler La Vedette will be primed to make her presence felt in the ladbrokes.com World Series Hurdle at Punchestown.

The classy mare ran the race of her life to finish second to Big Buck's in the World Hurdle at Cheltenham but could have to take on Willie Mullins' star Quevega this time.

Voler La Vedette could finish only fourth behind her in 2011, but Murphy believes a repeat of her Cheltenham run should put her right in the mix.

He said: "All going well Voler La Vedette will go for the World Series Hurdle at Punchestown.

"She has come out of her Cheltenham run exceptionally well and we're hoping that if she runs as well as she did in Cheltenham, she will run a big race against Quevega."
