Voltigeur target for Dabadiyan

Michael Halford's Dabadiyan continued his progression at Down Royal on Friday evening and now has the Great Voltigeur at York on August 21 as a potential target.

The Aga Khan-owned three-year-old has now won his last three races in the manner of a rapidly improving colt.

He holds entries in both the English and Irish St Legers and after winning Her Majesty's Plate in Northern Ireland, Halford will now raise him in class.

"They went a good gallop, he arrived travelling well and he just does enough," said Halford.

"The Irish Leger is a possibility as is the English. He may go to York now for the Great Voltigeur."
