Ruby Walsh is hoping to be back riding out by the end of the weekend as he nears a return to action after recovering from a double fracture to his right leg.
Walsh suffered the injury when coming to grief on Corrick Bridge at Down Royal on November 6 - just over an hour after partnering Kauto Star to victory in the JNwine.com Champion Chase.
The jockey told Racing UK: "Everything is going well. I got the frame off on Thursday and the leg is really good, so I can't wait to get back in action. It's just a case of getting back in the swing of things now. I've been in the gym since about 10 days after the fall, so I'll be glad to see the back of it."
He added: "Obviously with the frame coming off there are a few wounds on the leg, so if they're not healed by the morning it will be Sunday morning and I can't wait.
"I'm looking to be back riding around March 3, 4 or 5, somewhere around there, where ever the opportunity presents itself. It's been a bad old run but it could have been an awful lot worse."
