Weld on rain watch for Break
Dermot Weld wants to see some rain ahead of Big Break's run in the Etihad Airways Irish 1,000 Guineas on Sunday.
A relatively dry week means the surface at the Curragh is currently good on the straight course.
Winner of the Killavullen Stakes last year, the Khalid Abdullah-owned filly is a full sister to Weld's former stalwart Famous Name and will be aiming to land a Group One which proved so elusive to her sibling.
"She's a lovely filly, she's very talented," Weld told At The Races.
"She's very like her brother, Famous Name, who won 21 races for me, in that she likes give in the ground.
"If we get a little bit of rain later in the week she'll be very hard to beat in the Irish Guineas. If we don't, I'd be worried."
