Yucatan spearheads Aidan O'Brien team as Capri swerves Doncaster date
Aidan O'Brien's chief hope at Doncaster in edging closer towards the record number of top-level winners in a calendar year is Yucatan after Capri was not declared for the Racing Post Trophy on Saturday.
O'Brien has dominated the whole season, especially in the top juvenile races, but at the start of the week Capri was an odds-on favourite.
However, by Wednesday Yucatan, behind Capri in the Beresford Stakes, had replaced his stablemate at the head of the betting.
Yucatan, out of Six Perfections, will be joined by stable companions Finn McCool and The Anvil.
Also over from Ireland to South Yorkshire is the Ger Lyons-trained Brutal.
David Elsworth's Sir Dancealot has been the subject of upbeat reports this week and leads the home defence along with Salouen, placed in top company in France for Sylvester Kirk.
William Haggas' Rivet returns to the scene of his Champagne Stakes success, while Charlie Appleby runs Bay Of Poets.
Contrapposto represents David Menuisier, with the field made up by Brian Meehan's Raheen House.
