Anglesea backs Gloucs for top four

Sale coach Pete Anglesea has tipped Gloucester to secure a place in this season's Aviva Premiership play-offs - but that will not stop the Sharks from attempting to put a spanner in the works when the clubs clash at Edgeley Park on Friday night.

The form guide suggests a Gloucester win, given they have suffered just one defeat in all competitions this year, while Sale can reflect on only two Premiership successes since October.

Anglesea, who must pick his players up following a 53-24 loss at Northampton last Saturday, said: "They have one trophy in the cabinet after winning the LV= Cup the other week, and I believe they will finish in the top four. However, if we can play as we did for the first 50 minutes at Northampton last week, cut out the mistakes and tighten up on our discipline, we will be okay."

Victory for Gloucester would close the gap on second-placed Saracens to five points, and they still have a game in hand, which is at home to Northampton in 12 days' time.
