Baber to leave Blues

Backs coach Gareth Baber is to leave his position with Cardiff Blues at the end of this year.

The Blues announced that 41-year-old Baber will take up a new head coach position overseas. He has been with the Blues for seven years.

"Gareth has been a fantastic servant to the Blues over the years," Blues rugby director Phil Davies said.

"He has come from the academy set-up, and I've always valued his work ethic and professionalism, which is second to none.

"His enthusiasm for the game really is fantastic and he has a thirst for knowledge and to develop and get better. I know he will give everything over his remaining time with us."
