Barbieri heading back to Treviso

Italy international Robert Barbieri is to leave Aviva Premiership play-off contenders Leicester and rejoin Treviso.

The Guinness PRO12 team announced that back-row forward Barbieri, who has won 39 caps, will move back to Italy at the end of this season.

Barbieri, 30, joined Leicester last summer, moving to Welford Road along with his Test team colleagues Leonardo Ghiraldini and Michele Rizzo.

"This year abroad has helped me to mature, and I hope to have grown as a player and to be able to bring this experience to the (Treviso) team," Barbieri said.
