Bath scrum-half Jonathan Evans is to join Welsh region the Scarlets after just one season in English rugby.

The Scarlets have announced a two-year deal for Evans from next term.

The 23-year-old former Newport Gwent Dragons number nine moved to Bath last summer, but his first-team opportunities have been limited at the Recreation Ground.

Evans will increase the Scarlets' scrum-half resources, joining up with Wales squad members Gareth Davies and Aled Davies in Llanelli.
