Beattie named on Warriors bench

Scotland number eight Johnnie Beattie has been named on the Glasgow Warriors bench for Saturday's Magners League clash against the Ospreys in Swansea.

Beattie made his international return following shoulder surgery in last Sunday's RBS 6 Nations loss to Ireland, but was substituted early in the second half.

Warriors head coach Sean Lineen has named an unchanged starting XV following the draw with Newport Gwent Dragons and is determined to claim a first win in Swansea following last season's play-off semi-final loss at the Liberty Stadium.

He said: "It was a massive day for the club and it was a deserved result after the massive strides we had taken in the preceding years.

"I was delighted with the way we got there and it was a fantastic season - one we need to be proud of.

"The semi-final was a great occasion and these players need to live up to that and give a good account of themselves on Saturday.

"We had the best away record in the league last season and that doesn't come easily so we've got to make sure that we strive to improve every game and that has to continue against the Ospreys this weekend."
