The Bulls have been boosted by news that captain Gary Botha will not require surgery following an injury picked up against Western Province over the weekend.
However, the South Africa hooker will have to sit out the next four weeks after sustaining medial ligament damage during the Currie Cup encounter.
Botha has not played for the Springboks since 2007, but his form since returning to Loftus Versfeld from Harlequins at the start of this season has seen him push for a place in Peter de Villiers' side.
Team doctor Org Strauss said: "He will recover through rehabilitation."
