Castres came from behind to condemn winless French rivals Pau to a 30-21 defeat in their rearranged European Challenge Cup Pool 2 clash at the Stade du Hameau.

Castres led 13-0 early on after a try from David Smith and a conversion and two penalties from Geoffrey Palis, but Pau hit back to go ahead after touchdowns from Thomas Bianchin and Julien Fumat.

The visitors rallied and took charge again with two tries in quick succession from Sitiveni Sivivatu and Florian Vialelle before Julien Beziat made victory safe. Sean Dougall pulled one back for Pau in the last minute but it was not enough.
