Cooney meets up with new comrades to have some fun

By Robert Jones

Ulster's touring Irishmen enjoyed a day off on their tour of Japan, including a new face who will become very familiar to them over the next few seasons.

Scrum-half John Cooney joined the rest of the Ulstermen at amusement park Joypolis in Odaiba, Tokyo as he gets to know his new team-mates ahead of his move to Belfast.

One player who will get to know him better than most will be half-back partner Paddy Jackson, who says he's enjoyed working with the former Connacht man.

"It's good to get to know him a bit better," Jackson said. "It's also good for him. He gets to meet a few lads before he comes in."
