London Welsh have announced the signing of Bedford tighthead prop Ben Cooper.

Cooper becomes the club's 25th new signing since the club regained Aviva Premiership status by beating Championship play-off final opponents Bristol in early June.

"Ben is 25-years-old, he's a big man and this is a great opportunity for him. Hopefully, we can bring the best out of him," London Welsh head coach Justin Burnell said.

"Ben played against us three times last season and showed huge potential.

"He started against us at Goldington Road - our first Championship loss of the season - and he certainly caught my eye that day. They disrupted us at the set-piece."
