Dan Jones commits future to Scarlets

Scarlets fly-half prospect Dan Jones has agreed a new contract with the Welsh region.

The Scarlets said that the 21-year-old had committed to a long-term deal.

Carmarthen-born Jones has scored 28 points in the Scarlets' last two games, including 17 in the European Champions Cup draw against Saracens two days ago.

Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac said: " Dan has been patient over the last couple of seasons, taking his opportunities when they become available.

"He has developed as a player both on and off the field and has gained experience, while also holding his own against some of the most experienced fly-halves in world rugby."
