De Carpentier case dismissed

Worcester backrow forward Richard De Carpentier has been cleared of making contact with the eyes or eye area of Northampton's Calum Clark.

The 23-year-old was found not guilty of the charge, brought after the Warriors' 33-10 Aviva Premiership defeat at the weekend, at an Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing on Wednesday night.

"Richard De Carpentier is free to play on after the citing case against him was dismissed by an RFU disciplinary hearing tonight," a statement read.
