De Luca return boosts Edinburgh

Nick De Luca will be back in the Edinburgh side to face Treviso

Scotland centre Nick De Luca returns from a seven-week suspension for Edinburgh's penultimate match of the RaboDirect Pro12 season against Treviso on Friday night.

De Luca was banned for a tip tackle on Ospreys wing Tom Grabham just after returning from a fractured eye socket in February.

Interim head coach Stevie Scott said: "It's a massive boost to have Nick back in the team ahead of a very tough match."

He added: "He's an experienced, quality international player and has been buzzing all week to get back out on the pitch.

"He brings a lot of value to the squad and will hopefully help us continue to take further steps in the right direction."

Harry Leonard, 20, Dougie Fife, 22, and Tom Brown, 23, also come into a new-look back division at the Stadio Monigo with Greig Tonks among those missing out due to a hamstring injury.

They face a tough test against the Italians, who are looking for their fifth consecutive home win.

Scott added: "Treviso is a notoriously a difficult place to play. They pride themselves on a strong set piece and have a number of stand out players, including top Italian internationalists, that make them very dangerous team."
