Du Preez cited

Edinburgh forward Cornell Du Preez has been cited by the European Rugby Cup for his clash with Munster's Paul O'Connell during Sunday's Heineken Cup match at Thomond Park.

The South African was sin-binned after English referee Wayne Barnes ruled he had lead with the head after battering into the Irish second row during a ruck during the first half of the Pool Six match

The complaint was made by the match Citing Commissioner Yves Thieffine.

Jeremy Summers of England has been appointed as the independent Judicial Officer for the hearing which will take place in Dublin on Thursday, January 23.

Munster ran in six tries as they clinched a home quarter-final slot with a 38-6 victory.
