Edinburgh could welcome back duo

Edinburgh head coach Alan Solomons hopes to have Scotland pair Greig Laidlaw and Matt Scott back in his side this weekend.

Captain Laidlaw (knee) and centre Scott (ankle) have missed Edinburgh's four RaboDirect Pro12 games this season through injury.

But they could both be involved as Edinburgh bid to get off the bottom of the table at Cardiff Blues on Sunday.

Solomons said: "Last week we thought he (Laidlaw) could possibly play but the medical staff didn't think he was 100 per cent and he didn't feel confident and we didn't play him. But I'm pretty confident that he will be good to play this weekend.

"I'm hoping that Matt Scott will be able to get a little bit of game time this weekend and that will be massive for us as well."
