Aviva Premiership play-off contenders Exeter have announced the signing of Ireland international centre Ian Whitten.
Whitten, who has won two caps, has agreed a two-year deal at Sandy Park and will move to Exeter from Heineken Cup quarter-finalists Ulster.
The 24-year-old is Exeter's first signing for next season.
Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter said: "Ian is a big, strong guy, but he's also quick and powerful.
"It is nice that he is still developing as a player. He's got a lot of good rugby ahead of him.
"All-round, he suits us very well. He is quick enough to play on the wing, but also big enough and physical enough to play in midfield.
"I have no doubt that quite a few teams were looking at him, and for him to decide to come to Exeter is fantastic for us."
