Farrell commits to Sarries

Saracens fly-half prospect Owen Farrell has signed a contract extension with the Aviva Premiership club.

The 19-year-old son of former Great Britain rugby league star and current Saracens coach Andy Farrell has made several first-team starts this season.

Saracens have also announced new deals for five other young players in wing James Short, scrum-half Luke Baldwin, hooker Jamie George, lock George Kruis and flanker Jackson Wray.

Saracens rugby director Mark McCall said: "There is no doubt we have a really special group of youngsters at the club.

"It's exciting to see them develop as players on the field in the Premiership, and also as individuals off the field, thriving within our personal development programme."
