Gloucester sign Halaifonua

Gloucester have announced the signing of Tonga international wing David Halaifonua.

The 27-year-old, who can also play full-back, will join his Tonga colleagues Sione Kalamafoni, Aleki Lutui and Sila Puafisi at Kingsholm, subject to visa approval.

"David will bring something different to what we already have at the club and provides some cover for the loss of James Simpson-Daniel and, more recently, the departure of Tom Isaacs," Gloucester rugby director David Humphreys said.

" We are looking forward to welcoming him on board, adding more international quality to the squad and seeing him contribute for what is an exciting second half of the season."
