Ulster kept their Guinness Pro12 play-off hopes alive with an 18-10 victory over table-topping Connacht at Kingspan Stadium last night.

Tries from Rory Best and Craig Gilroy either side of half-time were enough for Les Kiss' side in a game where Connacht spent almost 10 minutes with 13 men.

Following last week's disappointing loss in Glasgow, Ulster showed character to bounce back in a win-or-bust contest to move up to fourth in the table. If they stay there they will be in the play-offs.

Ulster coach Kiss said: "It was an important win. I'm really proud of the guys. They knew what was at stake. We're still in the hunt."
