Guinness unveil Six Nations supporter events

Ireland ruby stars Tommy Bowe, Jamie Heaslip and Jerry Flannery have officially launched the Guinness 'Area 22' campaign, a series of supporter events based around this year's Six Nations Championship.

Guinness has teamed up with Today FM to host the events on the Thursday before each game in the RBS Six Nations.

The first half hour of each night (6.30pm – 7pm) will be broadcast on the Last Word on Today FM, and the whole event will be streamed live on www.todayfm.com.

The series get underway next Thursday, 4th February, in Sinnott’s Pub, Dublin, with MC Matt Cooper joined by former players including Frankie Sheahan and Denis Hickie, as they preview Ireland’s opening game against Italy.

Guinness Brand Manager Stuart Kinch said: "Guinness AREA 22 is about delivering a new and exciting perspective on Irish rugby and inspiring Irish fans to get behind the team.”

Guinness have also launched a new website - www.guinness.com/en-ie/area22 - that provides fans with the latest stats on the Irish Rugby team, live rugby news feeds, player insights from inside the Irish camp.

Events are strictly over 18. Proof of age will be required.

Events begin at 6pm
