Henson shines on debut

Gavin Henson enjoyed a dream debut for Toulon as the Wales centre crossed for a try in their 38-10 win over Stade Francais at Stade Felix Mayol.

The 29-year-old was making his first appearance since leaving Saracens at the start of February, and he marked the occasion by crossing for a bonus point-clinching fourth try, with Davit Kubriashvili, Christian Loamanu and skipper Joe van Niekerk having scored tries earlier in the game.

England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson supplied 18 points as Toulon kept themselves in the Top 14 play-off hunt.

Henson played the full 80 minutes and his promising display will be a big boost for the former Ospreys back as he looks to try and secure a place in Wales coach Warren Gatland's squad for the World Cup later this year.
