Highly-rated Edinburgh youngster Blair Kinghorn extends deal until 2019

Edinburgh full-back Blair Kinghorn has signed a two-year contract extension.

The 19-year-old, who has scored 15 tries in 28 appearances for Edinburgh and is a Scotland Under-20 international, has penned a deal that will keep him with the capital club until at least 2019.

Kinghorn, who can also play at stand-off, said: "I'm really looking forward to the next couple of years and contributing to the team as we look to get to where we want to be.

"This club is a great place with a good bunch of guys involved and a great squad, who for the past couple of seasons have been getting and better.

"I was delighted when I was offered a new deal, so I'm happy that I'm staying here and looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.

"The young lads are getting a good shot here and we're all coming up through the team.

"There's great depth in the squad and we're a close-knit group which adds to the enjoyment of it all - it's great to play with your mates."
