Hogg handed Warriors chance

Sean Lineen will hand 18-year-old Stuart Hogg his debut for Glasgow Warriors in Friday's home clash with Newport Gwent Dragons.

Hogg will take Bernardo Stortoni's place in the team at full-back, with Peter Horne, Duncan Weir, James Eddie and Ryan Wilson also drafted into the line-up following last weekend's defeat to Connacht.

The Warriors are just one place off the foot of the Magners League following four successive defeats in the competition.

Lineen said: "I've been really impressed with Stuart. He is good enough.

"We wouldn't put him in unless we thought he was good enough and we've been looking at him for a while now.

"Bernie (Stortoni) still has a crucial role, and will still play games for us, but if we are looking to the future then we have here a young lad who has a lot to offer."
