Injury blow for Trinder

Gloucester expect their England Saxons centre Henry Trinder to be sidelined for at least a month after he broke his jaw during Saturday's Aviva Premiership victory over leaders Harlequins.

Trinder was admitted to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Sunday, where an X-ray confirmed the fracture and surgery was carried out to insert a plate, the club said on their official website.

The 22-year-old returned to action against Quins after a four-week absence nursing an ankle injury, but he took a heavy blow to his head and was forced off 11 minutes into the second half.

Trinder now faces a lay-off of four to six weeks.
